alpha-flyer-2016alpha what is it

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions to explore life and the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. Alpha consists of eight sessions, looking at topics including ‘Who is Jesus?’ and ‘Why and how do I pray?’. At Alpha we meet for dinner, hear a short talk and then finish with a discussion where you can share your thoughts.

Alpha is for everyone; no question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. We don’t assume any background knowledge of, or belief in Christianity, and everyone is welcome.

Our next course starts on Wednesday 25th January 2017, running from 6pm.  For more information please get in touch with us via the contact page.

24 million people have tried Alpha in 169 countries and 112 languages.

The Guardian newspaper said:

“What Alpha offers, and what is attracting thousands of people, is permission, rare in culture, to discuss the big questions: life and death and their meaning.”

The Times newspaper said:

“What distinguishes Alpha from other initiatives is the easy-going, relaxed feel of the proceedings – that, and its astonishing success.”
